Entitlement Activation

• Applicable scenarios:

  Activate an entitlement online by binding it to an equipment serial number (ESN), so as to generate a license.

  Note: If a large amount of entitlements need to be activated, you can activate them in batches. For details, see Activating Entitlements inBatches.

• Business rules:

1. Only entitlements whose delivery status is READY can be activated.

2. If the entered ESN does not exist in the system but meets the ESN verification rules, an ESN will be created.

3. If the annual fee business model is activated, the annual fee service time on the equipment (node) can be activated only when the service time is still within the validity period.

4. Activated entitlements with the same version, product, and configuration list are automatically combined.

5. If you encounter any problem that cannot be resolved, click Feedback on the home page to contact us.

• Procedure:

  Step 1: Enter search criteria and click Search.

  Path: License Management >License Activation >Entitlement Activation (Recommended)

  

  Step 2: Select the entitlement to activate and click Activation.

  

  Step 3: Enter the ESN and equipment (node) name, and click Next.

  Note: If the entered ESN does not exist in the system, the system creates the equipment (node). The name is the same as the ESN.

  

  Step 4: Check that the data is correct and click Confirm Activation.

  

  Step 5: After the activation is successful, click Download to download the license file to the local PC.
